Which pano head you use is irrelevant as is the need to have a nadir adaptor or anything similar as they're just a waste of weight and space.

All you need to do is move the tripod 3-4m and point it at the nadir area you want to patch and take a photo.

You then simply use viewpoint correction in PTGui to patch it in, takes an extra minute or two at max.

I've outlined the nadir area to patch in red.

Such a useful tool. To build on what Matthew says, also read John Houghton's excellent tutorial…
 it helped me understand how to use viewpoint correction in PTGui years ago when I stopped using Stitcher.
It'll become second nature after a little bit of practice.
